Smart Lock Body Standards Explained: 5050, 6068, 7068, 6085, 6590

"Which lock body do you need?" is the first question we ask every new buyer — and the one that prevents the most installation problems. The four-digit codes describe the mortise dimensions inside the door.

Reading the numbers

The first two digits are the backset (distance from the door edge to the spindle center) and the last two are the distance between the spindle and the cylinder, both in millimeters. A 6068 body has a 60 mm backset and 68 mm center distance — the most common standard for security doors in many export markets.

Why confirmation matters

The same market can mix several standards, and replacing a mortise after delivery is expensive. Send us your door type, thickness and a photo of the existing mortise — we check compatibility and recommend the right body before production, free of charge.
